This month, lawmakers in New Hampshire advanced a bill out of committee that would provide additional protections for children harmed by gender ideology.
The legislation, HB 1356, extends the time period for a person to file a claim for “violation of the prohibition on medical procedures intended to change a minor’s gender” from two years to 10 years from the date the minor reaches the age of majority.
In other words, the legislation gives individuals who suffered from a child sex change intervention a better chance to assert their rights.
“Because minors cannot fully participate in informed consent, and the long-term consequences of these interventions may not become apparent for years, individuals need adequate time to fully understand the impact on their lives,” said Rep. Katy Peternel, who co-sponsored the bill.
“Extending the statute of limitations to ten years after the age of majority would ensure that those who were harmed have an opportunity to pursue justice and hold those who engaged in wrongful or unethical conduct fully accountable.”
This is tremendous news. It’s essential that individuals harmed as children by the child transgender industry have the opportunity to assert their rights.
Additionally, the state’s House of Representatives passed the CHARLIE Act, which cracks down on the teaching of gender ideology.
