Requiring Transparency in Admissions Data, Instruction Content, and Affiliated Associations
Problem:
Because hospitals and MMOs often dominate the medical landscape in your state, they may be staffed with DEI activists who surreptitiously push divisive and discriminatory practices, even going so far as to skirt anti-DEI laws. These institutions are also often engaged in promoting pediatric sex transitions.
Solution:
Hospitals and MMOs in your state rely heavily on public funding, much of which you control. Pass a law requiring every hospital and MMO in your state to certify compliance with state laws banning or restricting DEI practices, as well as state laws banning or restricting pediatric sex transitions, in order to maintain their licenses to operate (hospitals) and their state Medicaid contracts (MMOs). Institutions that fail to comply would forfeit public funding. Ensure that the law extends to emancipated minors.
Require the affected facilities to revise their performance standards and end the promotion of gender ideology. Performance standards must be evidence-based and focused on quality healthcare, not ideology. Failure to certify compliance would result in the loss of a license to operate (hospitals), cancellation of state Medicaid contracts (MMOs), or forfeiture of public funding.
Why this works:
In the absence of a proper enforcement mechanism, DEI proponents will attempt to skirt any law banning or restricting DEI practices, as well as laws banning or restricting pediatric sex transitions. Legislation that authorizes the revocation of licenses to operate, the cancellation of state contracts, and the withdrawal of public funding is the most effective means of ensuring real accountability.
